Piers (MIRPM) – Managing Director
Prior to joining Alpha Housing Services, Piers spent around 12 years within the financial sector. During this time he held a number of progressively senior positions becoming experienced in business finance, performance management, stakeholder development, and corporate affairs. The highlight of his time was being recognised by HRH Princess Anne with a prestigious award for his Leadership on the company’s fundraising ambitions.
In 2014, Piers made the move to Alpha Housing Services and has relished the opportunity. Property has always been a real passion and, as an accredited professional landlord, being part of Alpha Housing Services team was the perfect fit. Piers has also been accredited through the Institute of Property Managers and attained the MIRPM status.
Piers has strong family values, enjoys scuba diving as well as spending his spare time with family and friends.
Giles (AIRPM) – Property Manager
As the longest standing member of the team, Giles has been a Property Manager for over 20 years. Like Piers, Giles is also a professional Landlord and passionate about good property maintenance. Accredited through IRPM, Giles’ motivation comes from understanding the property and making it the best it can be. Unusually he has seen many sides of what it is like to manage leasehold property as he has lived in a flat, owns investment flats, owns ground rent investments and of course, manages leasehold blocks of flats.
On a personal note, Giles enjoys generally just being outside; whether that is walking or gardening.
Emma – Maintenance Manager
Emma has worked in the property industry for over 12 years. With her husband they have a successful development partnership renovating and selling property, which involves overseeing work, organising contractors and materials. Like Piers and Giles, Emma is also a landlady with properties in blocks of flats and has an understanding of what people are looking for from a Block Management company.
In Emma’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, young son and her Labrador and catching up with friends and family. She also attends her local gym.
Kirsty – Assistant Property Manager
Kirsty has over 15 years experience in the property industry, starting at a leading estate agent in central Bristol in the year 2000 and then in 2005 moved on to an international commercial property and asset management firm where she developed her attention to detail and customer focused attitude, she enjoys all aspects of property management and has experience across a wide range of sectors.
Kirsty has returned to work after a 5 year gap where she devoted herself to raising her two children, having recently relocated to Taunton with her husband and young children Kirsty is enjoying exploring the local countryside and restaurants.
Jane – Accounts
Jane has worked for Alpha since early 2015. Her main responsibility is to manage service charges and to ensure all company policies and procedures comply with ARMA. Before joining Alpha Housing Services, Jane worked as Quality Manager for a Telehealth Company for ten years, and was responsible for HR and training as well as managing all company records and auditing all processes and procedures, to adhere with the ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and MDD Annex II accreditation. Previously, Jane worked for a firm of Chartered Accountants for eleven years, gaining a wide range of valuable experience, with roles including that of company secretary, credit control, maintaining the company accounts, completing personal tax returns and organising marketing events.
Jane is very much a family person and enjoys spending time with her young family.
Gabby – Senior Office Administrator
Gabby has been a member of the Alpha Housing Services team since 2015. In that time she has completed a qualification in Business Administration and become an affiliate of IRPM. Gabby is currently training towards the next level of the IRPM qualification.
As the first point of contact at the office, many of the client interactions are through Gabby and she relishes the variety of topics that come up in her day.
James – Office Junior
James is studying a Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship course. Alpha Housing was a natural choice for James, with several of his family members already being involved in the business. James is an aspiring Property Manager and Landlord, and has now started his journey of becoming a great future PM at Alpha Housing!
In his spare time, James enjoys going to the gym as well as playing and watching sports.
Emma C – Property Coordinator
Emma C has 25 years of experience in administration within various industries. Having worked for her family’s business in the building trade, she has a great understanding of the customer care and professionalism that is essential in a business like Alpha Housing Services. She has been working within property maintenance for the last few years and she is keen to expand her knowledge and achieve qualifications within property management.
When not working she loves to socialise with her friends and family and is at her happiest sat on a beach in the sun.
